ChildFund International – Texas affiliate
ChildFund International currently assists more than 4.6 million children and families in over 30 countries, including the United States, regardless of race, creed, nationality or gender. Children around the world are leading healthier, safer lives due to improved access to health care and safe water, immunizations, better nutrition, educational assistance, literacy courses, skills training and other services specific to their individual needs. ChildFund International's programs promote long-term sustainable development and are designed to help break the cycle of poverty.
AVANCE-Rio Grande Valley is an affiliate of ChildFund International and manages the program in the Rio Grande Valley. Over 4,000 children in Texas are enrolled in the program. Funding from ChildFund International comes from individuals who sponsor children. Through the monthly contributions from sponsors, AVANCE – RGV is able to provide an array of comprehensive services to needy families. AVANCE-RGV also assists in correspondence and visits between the sponsor and the child that is sponsored.
